art-K connects people in a space they belong, by treating our team and our students individually.
We are the leading art education provider for children & adults outside of school (teaching 7000+ students per week) and our team is over 100 strong, all passionate about art education & development. Our teachers provide an enriching and educational space where students have their own personalised programme, and our central team work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the network of studios.

Training & Development
At art-K we have created our own training scheme that allows our teachers to provide the best teaching environment for our students. Ongoing training and development is integrated into the role for all permanent teaching staff.
For example, over the first 2 years, Art Club Managers will receive training on topics from safeguarding to inks to mindset to people management and much more. art-K continuously brings in external consultants, who are at the top of their field, to enhance our teachers’ teaching and managerial skills further. As a company, we continuously listen to feedback, evolve and grow to ensure that we are providing the best art classes for our customers and our environment is supportive of the teachers.
We are redefining what it means to teach art.
Our Values
Our values as a company are focused around our purpose: to create a space where people can connect in a space they belong.
- Sharing & educating: everything we do is about learning and development. Our classes have a high teacher to pupil ratios, professional materials and a structured programme. Learn more about our programme here.
- Compassion: we provide a kind, caring, and personalised approach to teaching students so that students feel comfortable to get out of their comfort zone and develop creatively.
- Growth Mindset: we believe that everyone (including the company) can grow and develop, and become a better version of where we are now. To do this, we have ongoing feedback loops and provide constructive feedback to make sure we're aligned as a company.
- Ownership & connection: our teachers embrace the autonomy and ownership they have in their roles, within the parameters of the art-K brand.

About art-K
art-K was founded in 2000, to create a safe space where children can feel comfortable to explore their artistic skills. The art-K programme was created with a deep understanding of child development, child engagement, visual skills and artistic techniques, allowing the art-K teachers to create the safe environment by personalised the programme to children's individual needs.
Since deciding to expand art-K in 2016, art-K has grown to 50+ clubs, teaches 7000+ students per week (of which 1000 of our students are now adults), and employs over 80 permanent art teachers and 100s of art assistants.
Our goal is to ensure that every child or adult passionate about art has the opportunity to be a part of an art-K club in their local area. We’re looking to build a community of individuals who share a common passion and enthusiasm for creating art.
